Florinda Baptiste was recommended to me when I was looking for a chef to cater for friends and family during a 3-week holiday in the Bahamas. It was the best recommendation I could have hoped for. Florinda is not only a highly skilled cook, she is a total professional too. She understood my brief and the various dietary requirements of my guests and always delivered on time. Her cooking was healthy, inventive and delicious. She is also enormously resourceful and organized: she had thought out all her menus in advance and shopped for all of the produce before getting to our holiday destination, an island with no access to shops. Florinda has a sunny personality, nothing was ever too much trouble and she is always immaculately turned out in her chef’s uniform. She was a joy to have around and to work with and I would (and have) hire her again and again.

I have worked with (hired) Florinda Baptiste off and on over the last 5 years. Flo is always a great asset to my crew. As a chef she is highly capable and enjoys being creative in the Kitchen. From classic home style Bahamian dishes to the most stringent health conscious requests she consistently gets it done. On one cruise we went over 30 days straight and her meals continued to delight the guests and crew every day. Out of the kitchen Flo fills the shoes of a stew with years of experience.
